Cliff Peeler Easter Baseball Tournament: Granite Quary

The 8th Annual Cliff Peeler High School Easter Baseball Tournament will be held at Staton Field in Granite Quarry just east of Salisbury off Highway 52 East.

Eight teams in the field, all teams play three games.

First Round on Friday 4-18-03
10 am - South Rowan vs. East Rowan
1 pm - Salisbury vs. Albemarle
4 pm - East Surry vs. North Rowan
7 pm - West Rowan vs. Davie County

Day 2 - Saturday 4-19-03
Loser bracket games at 10 am and 1 pm
Semi-finals at 4 pm and 7 pm

Day 3 - Easter Monday 4-21-03
7th place at 10 am
5th place at 1 pm
3rd place at 4 pm
Championship game at 7 pm

Directions to Staten Field:

- I-85 to exit 74 (Julian Road)
- exit, turn east on Julian Road
- go to the end of the road (through 1 light) approx. 2-3 mi.
- turn right on Faith Road
- go to the 1st left (approx. 3/4 mi.), Byrd Road, turn left on Byrd Road which becomes W. Peeler St.
- go to 2nd right, N. Walnut St., (approx. 1 mi.) turn right
- go to 2nd right, W. Bank St., (approx. 2 blocks) turn right
- ball field on left (approx. 200-300 yds)

All 8 Forsyth County Schools will compete!

Monday April 14th: at East Forsyth

Carver vs. Glenn 4pm
Parkland vs. West Forsyth 7pm

Monday at Ernie Shore Stadium

Mt Tabor vs Reynolds 4pm
East Forsyth vs North Forsyth 7pm

Will post results and next day lineups!

Championship will be Wed 7pm at Ernie Shore Stadium

 

Observer Gaston County Easter Tournament

As of now, here's the schedule for the Observer's 17th Annual Gaston County Easter Tournament. All games are played at Ashbrook HS and the schedule is different than past years because Gaston County has "snow makeup days" on Monday and Tuesday.
