    Robbie Putnam pitched 6 scorless innings giving up 2 hits. Jeremy Yoder got the save striking out 3. Tournament has been rained out for the rest of the games.

    Cabarrus County Easter "Intimidator" Classic

    According to "The Independent Tribune".....
    Tournament begins Monday April 21:
    10am: Northwest Cabarrus vs. West Stanly
    1pm: J.M.Robinson vs. Piedmont
    4pm: Concord vs. Mt.Pleasant
    7pm: Kannapolis vs. Parkwood

    All games will be played at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium in Kannapolis, which is home of the Kannapolis Intimidators Class A minor league team.

    Matchups for days 2-3 on Tues.(Apr.22) and Wed.(Apr.23) will depend upon who wins/loses each day.


    ***PLEASE NOTE: The Independent Tribune has "been known" to be wrong...

    The latest revised schedule for the Cliff Peeler Classic is as follows:

    Today, Sat., 4-19-03

    1:00 - South Rowan vs East Rowan
    3:00 - Salisbury vs Albemarle
    5:00 - East Surry vs North Rowan
    7:00 - Davie County vs West Rowan

    As of now(9:45 am) it's still raining........so who knows.

    The games of the Cliff Peeler Easter Tournament have been cancelled for the day. Some of the games will be played on Monday, but I'm not sure of the entire schedule. I know that West Rowan will play Davie County at 7:00. I'll post the entire revised schedule as soon as I have it.

    The Cliff Peeler Classic Easter Tournament has been reduced to 4 games on Monday, 4/21. They are as follows:

    10:00 am, South Rowan vs East Rowan
    1:00 pm, Salisbury vs Albemarle
    4:00 pm, East Surry vs North Rowan
    7:00 pm, West Rowan vs Davie County

    The 8th Annual Cliff Peeler High School Easter Baseball Tournament will be held at Staton Field in Granite Quarry just east of Salisbury off Highway 52 East.
