Try to sneak 15 players on the field.

    One man's opinion:

Go to your local high school. Tell the coach what you want to do and ask them for 4-6-8 base plays that they run that would be good for smaller kids (no motion, crazy formations, etc...). You will need no more plays than that. Also, ask them to describe their base defense/assignments and run it endlessly (yes, 1 defense). If you let your kids know that the plays that you are running are the exact same plays that the high school runs you will have them in the palm of your hand and so pumped up they won't be able to stand it. It is then your job to teach them everything about those plays so that when they are run, they run them well. It doesn't matter if the other coach knows what is coming. Also, don't cram all of the plays down their throat at one time. If you only have 2 in for your first game, then go for it with those two. It usually makes for a lot of practice excitement after the first game when the coach comes in and says, "okay guys, we've got a couple more plays to learn today...."

Like I said, one man's personal opinion, who has had lots of success in youth leagues doing the bare minimum.

Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
I know the East Asheville Youth League (which filters into AC Reynolds) all run the spread (4 WR set, QB in shotgun) which they learned from the Reynolds coaches. Every team in that youth league from the termites through the midgets run that offense. They even signal in all the plays from the sidelines using mostly the same signals (some are simplified) as the Varsity and JV teams use.

    I

ran the wing t with a real basic blocking scheme that was easy to learn. Over , inside , lb. In other words block the man in front of you towards the offside. If no one in front of you block the man inside of you to the offside. If no one over or inside of you block the lb to the offside.

I took the motion out at least to start with and ran basic dive , leads and sweeps and later put in some motion and cross bucks. Misdirection as you know works very well at this level. We ran 8 basic plays out of three different formations.

You can go online and get the entire wing t offense. Good luck its alot of fun to coach this age group.
