    USC Gamecocks defeat Elon 8-1 on a 1 hitter shared by 3 USC pitchers. The only Elon hit was an HR w/ 2 outs in 9th inning.

    great early season pitching by USC

    In the 3 game sweep of Elon, the Gamecock pitching staff was impressive the entire weekend allowing just three runs, one earned, on only seven hits in 27 innings of work with 32 strikeouts vs. the Phoenix.
