American Legio Baseball World Series comes to Shelby

    I have just been informed that Shelby NC has been given the American Legion Baseball World Series for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. If all goes well Shelby more than likely will be the permanent host of this event

    I've said it before, the town of Shelby along with Shelby High School puts on one of the very best baseball tournaments you'll ever attend anywhere, from the stadium to the food/entertainment. Its just great news for this nice little baseball town, and a great opportunity for all the baseball lovers in the Carolinas to see some great legion programs from around the country the next 4 years. Hopefully they'll get the permanent bid.

    Thats great news for North Carolina. But does that mean that Shelby Legion will recieve byes to the world series as well?

    No, there are no automatic bids to World Series.

    Great news BUT I hope they improve the media situation...Are they building something for the media in the renovations?
