It's offical...Wilkes Co vs Rowan County

Just tuned in to Rowan County radio station 1490 am and they said Wilkes County was there and playing. The State Commissioner said the Area III commissioner was correct in his beakdown of the seeds.

    Mooresville @ Stanly Co.

    Stanly Co. 5
    Mooresville 4 (10 innings)

Mooresville starter Tim Johnson and Stanly starter Bradley Holt pitched well but niether got a decision in this game. Mooresville nursed a 2-0 lead into the 7th but Stanly tied the game with a 2 run home run and this game went into extra innings tied 2-2. Mooresville scored 2 runs in the top of the 10th and appeared to have stolen the momentum but Stanly got a walk and a home run to tie it at 4-4 with nobody out in the home half. Another walk and a wild pick-off throw advanced the winning run to third.....nobody out yet. After a pop out to left field the next batter blooped the game winner into short right field and that was all she wrote.

    WP-Roldan
    LP-Marshall

edit......I mis-spelled the pitchers name for Stanly Co. last night.

    Kannapolis-8 over Concord-7 in 13 innings...

WOW!!! Kannapolis was down 7-1 in bottom of 9th. After the big comeback, Kannapolis started getting baserunners like crazy and left the bases loaded in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th,,, before finally winning in the 13th.

Frankie Mcateer (Con) pitched great but had to come out after 7. Goes to show its never over...

Hopefully this will wake up the Kannapolis bats...
