There's been a radio station and 3 different newspapers covering the Kannapolis/Stanly series, but with the good crowds I didn't realize any TV stations were ever there. What night did someone see highlights on TV ???

Tuesday night during the 11:00pm Sports on channel 3. You had to look and listen fast but...it was there and...I guess because it was so fast that might have been why I got the score wrong or...it might have just possibly been film taken before the game was over and possibly Stanly might have been up @ that time I'm thinking also and I just thought that they were giving a report and score on the end of the game?!? Sorry for the confusion earlier?!?

Kannapolis lead 8-2 late, but the coaches left Nick Daniels in way too long pitching on short rest.It was 8-6 before they lifted Daniels with two outs in the 8th.Sherrill came in and got the final out in the 8th,but Stanly got to him in the 9th.Kannapolis lead 8-7 with two outs in the 9th and Stanly had runners on 2nd and 3rd.Kannapolis tried to intentially walk the batter(a very good stick) to load the bases, but the ball got by the catcher and the tying run scored.Stanly scored in the 10th to take the win.

The Kannapolis coaches went too long with Daniels and in the end proved costly.Daniels pitched 7 2/3 innings on short rest.

Stanly moves on to play Eastern Randolph in a best of 7 series starting friday night.

Yes guys, Kannapolis' season ends in a wild one tonight, but I've simply got to mention some names. Kannapolis Post 501 won the Area 3 Championship the last 2 years (2003 and 2004),,, and our current 2005 team now went a full 5 games into the 2nd round of the playoffs before we lost tonight. We have several kids who played on all 3 of these Kannapolis legion teams from 2003-2005 and they won a lot of ballgames and always represented the community of Kannapolis not only with great baseball in the summertime, but they always displayed great class at all times.

    Andrew Mead 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005
    Blake Ketner 2003, 2004, 2005
    Eddie Boger 2003, 2004, 2005
    Garrett Sherrill 2003, 2004, 2005
    Drew Burris 2003, 2004, 2005
    Ryan Query 2004, 2005
    Jeremiah Worthington 2004, 2005

Each of these guys contributed so much to the Kannapolis legion program over the years, and for that I say THANKS guys, and I'm personally wishing each of you all the best in college and your futures....

As for the remainder of the team,,, thank you too, and hope to see you next summer. For anyone who isn't eligible to return, you know I'm wishing you the best also... Sincerely, tj

I also want to say thanks to these Kannapolis players.I'm pretty sure that Sherrill and Query still have a year left of legion if they chose to come back. Not sure about Ketner or Worthington.I am pretty sure that this was Boger's last season due to ageing out.

    Thanks again guys!!!!!!!!!!!

Dodgerblues,,,, remember baseball is "just a game",,,,, but life goes on and the Townhouse Restaurant will always open whenever the sun comes up. So we can go get that banana pudding anytime.

Hope to see you guys again soon,,,, maybe you should bring the guys and come checkout some good ole smalltown high school football game in Wonderland this fall. The atmosphere of the Kannapolis/Concord game is always an experience for anyone who's never witnessed one firsthand.

Just a thought. Stay in touch...
