    Apparently the Greensboro/Winston game was postponed. I assume it rained there last night. I'm not sure if tonight's game will be here in Jamestown or back at North Forsyth.

    Thanks Wossa, I'll update tonight's schedule, and if last night's game was rained out, then I'm going to assume that tonight's game will still be in Winston-Salem.

    No details. serries ties 1-1.

    That is by far the most runs Greensboro has given up this year. Winston has handed Greensboro 2 of their 3 losses this season.

    Kannapolis-11 over South Rowan-5 (Ktown leads series 2-1)
    Rowan County-22 over Mocksville-3 (Rowan leads series 2-1)
    Winston-Salem-16 over Greensboro-6 (series tied 1-1)
    Burlington-5 over Eastern Randolph-1 (Burl wins series 3-0)

    3rd Round matchups...

    Several folks have been asking about who will play who in the 3rd round,,,,, so just as a reminder,,, the 3rd round next week is when the teams finally play teams from the other division. The highest seeded team remaining from the Northern Division will play the lowest seeded team remaining from the Southern Division, and vice versa. Here is a list of the "remaining" teams and how they were seeded at the start of the playoffs...

    1- Kannapolis
    2- Rowan County
    3- Mocksville
    5- South Rowan

    1- Greensboro
    2- Burlington
    4- Winston-Salem

    .....then the 2 teams who advance to the 4th round not only will play for the Area III championship, but they both also will automatically qualify for the state tournament in Shelby.

    South Rowan 6-3 over Kannapolis

    Series tied at 2-2


    Rowan County is winning 11-5 in the bottom of 5th.

    a good tight game for 6 innings until Greensboro put up 3 in the 7th and 3 more in the 8th. Both pitchers did a good job tonight. Brown went the distance for Greensboro striking out 8 I think and only giving up two hits. I spent most of the game talking to Matt Kepley's dad and my stat keeping suffered. Charlie Gamble swung the big bat again tonight going 3-3 with a 2B and an RBI. Trevor Mullins was 2-4 with an RBI.

    Greensboro now leads 2-1. Chad Baker hasn't pitched yet this series. I assume he will pitch and try to close out the series tomorrow night at North Forsyth.
