    This game showed a little of what the Pineville players are made of. They could have "laid down" early in this game looking at possibly going down in the serires 0-2. Pineville took an early 1-0 lead and then went down 4-1...they got it back to 4-3 before taking the lead off a Jonathan Ahearn 3 run homer and keeping it. Pitching and defense remained strong and the Pineville bats finally came back alive in this game with 12 hits...Pineville could have scored several more runs if it wasn't for some "sloppy" base running throughout the night.

    Jonathan Ahearn 1-4 (HR)

    Burns, Crest and Shelby feed the Shelby program.

    Caldwell gets players from South Caldwell, West Caldwell, Hibriten, Watauga. They also have Brandon York from West Wilkes this year and had Scott Hall from Alexander Central for a few years.

    Cherryville has players from Burns, West Lincoln, Lincolnton, Bessemer City and North Gaston.
