    Caldwell could not stop hitting tonight everyone had atleast 2 hits.

    the 29ers will be way too much for Steele Creek to handle.

    At one point it was Caldwell 24, Steele Creek 0. Caldwell starting making mass substitutions and told the batters to quit stealing bases and to even swing at every ball they could reach. T.J. Jenkins even took a swing at a pitch well over his head and still managed to knock it into the outfield. Caldwell could have easily scored 30+ runs if they wanted to.

    I really felt sorry for Steele Creek and they even lost their lead off hitter who was ejected for arguing with Charlie Henry after he struck out to end the game. You hate to see a player not be able to play in the next game after the game just ended.

    Very well pitched game by both teams (Ryan Morris - W, Ben Lilly - L). I'm sure details will follow. Sloppy defense again was Hickory's nemesis. They'll strap it on again tonight in Hickory for game 2.

    Pineville's bats woke up in the second game. Never really close. Hickory was flat after the tough loss earlier in the day.
