    Game change

    Shelby will play at Burke tonight, instead of at home. Heavy rains soaked the field and knocked down the net behind home plate. If necessary, games 4 and 5 of the series will probably be played in Shelby tomorrow.

    Tonight's game was very well played by both teams, with lots of good defense, good pitching, and better hitting than the score would indicate. Several outs at the plate, line drives right at guys, and hard hit balls just foul. But hand it to the pitchers, they both battled and went the distance. Bryan Corbett got the win to complete the 3-0 sweep for Taylorsville, and Jordan Cudney took the hard luck loss.

    Congratulations to Taylorsville. They were clearly the better team and could give Caldwell County a run for their money in the second round.

    Hope that you will continue to visit and post on TBR even though your son is heading for UNC this coming up Fall as ALL of your posts were very knowledgeable, informative and unbiased. I personally really enjoyed your posts over the past years here?! Also, your son hit very well tonight during the Charlotte vs. Taylorsville legion game!

    I know...

    it was rain delayed for a long time, but I'm not sure it ever actually got completed.
