American Legion Changes in Charlotte

I thought it was interesting what my son's host parent said last summer when we dropped him off in Columbia to play for the Blowfish. She has been hosting for several years and attends (and keeps stats on "her" boys) at all the home games.
She said this is when they find out just how much they love it. The grind of so many games, the cheap food on the road and those wonderful bus rides. If, at the end of the summer, they still have their passion for the game then these kids know that if they get to play beyond college, they will be ready for at least a part of what minor league ball will have in store for them.
