Roxboro Post 138 defeated Raleigh Post 297 last night 15-5. By far our best game of the year. Here's hoping that things begin to get better for Post 138.

Robbie Byrd had 2 homers last night and Seth Austin also hit a homer. Jeremy Peed went 6 innings to get the win to go along with three hits.

Good win for Post 138 after losing a tough game to Kerr Lake in the bottom of the ninth on Tuesday night.

Roxboro Post 138 is 7-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Post 138 hosts Clayton on Saturday at Person High School. Play starts at 5:00 to finish a rain delyed game and then a 7 inning game after the first one is finished.

    Kernersville @ Eastern Randolph.....washed away...made up 6/26

Northern Division from what I hear

    1. Randolph County
    1. Western Forsyth
    3. Eastern Randolph
    4. Kernersville
    5. Winston-Salem
    6. Burlington
    7. Rockingham
    8. Yadkin County
    9. High Point

5th or 6th might be flip flopped but otherwise thats pretty close to the standings...next few games in the Northern will make or break a team for the playoffs especially since teams 1-6 are very close.

Is it the top 8 teams in the standings that make the playoffs? If so I hate that because High Point will host the state tournament and didn't even make their Area playoffs...Doesn't seem fair

Where's Surry County in this? I was told they only have to win 1 of their next 6 to make the playoffs.

Kannapolis- 12 over Montgomery Co.- 2 (7 innings)

Kannapolis Post 501 set a team record tonight by hitting 3 more homeruns giving the team a total of 39 homeruns for this legion season. The previous team record of 36 was set by the 2004 squad which finished 32-10 and 3rd in the state tournament. Kyle Seager hit his 4th, Jay Hosack hit his 2nd, and Ryan Wildrick became the 13th different Kannapolis player by hitting his first of the season. Garrett Sherrill (4-1) picks up the win by pitching the first 5 innings of 1-hit shutout ball.

Kannapolis also clinched the 1st seed from the Area 3 Southern Division with a league record of 16-3 (18-5 overall) with only one league game remaining and a one-game lead over second place Stanly County (Kann owns tiebreaker over Stanly).

Kannapolis will be at home tomorrow (Sunday) in a non-league game against a very strong Pineville team.
