UK, c'mon now. You're familiar with Gaston County. I think your son goes to a little small school down that way.

I'm in accordance on those rankings though. Knowing a lot about that Gaston Braves team, and a lot about area III, I would have to say it is going to be tough to beat Ktown with Ketner and Sherrill in a series.

The Braves beat a talented group from Pineville last night, as stated by summy. Pineville draws from south meck, charlotte christian, and providence?

a little more info for you uk.

I just got busted. Will this have a lasting impact on my family???????

I meant to say that the coaching staff of Gaston is so brilliant that no possible way anyone touches them...

    exactly

No, no, no. I understand. I root for LD too. Best coaching staff in the country. What other field can you play a game and then walk up the hill to grab a beer after the game. Only in lexington.

Area III is tough, Rowan finishes fourth? WOW! Give Stoney a punch in the ribs for me, tell him I miss him.

Tell Griff and Mabe hello from me too. Or, is it 9nine9?

Actually, someone just made a very good point about Area 3 Southern teams this year,,,,, I don't know about the Northern teams but whenever Rowan frickin County has a very good team loaded with pitching and has won 19 ballgames this summer,,, yet they finished 4th in the standings,,,,,,,,,, it goes to show how strong the top of this division is.

5th place Mocksville is good, but I truly believe on any given night the top 4 teams Kannapolis, Stanly, Lexington or Rowan can beat each other,,, and each of these 4 teams have the quality pitching, hitting and defense to go all the way. I've said this back in May and I stand by it. They'll be no upsets when those 4 get together.

Roxboro Post 138 defeated Randolph Post 45 last night in a bigtime slugfest 19-17. There were 32 hits in which two were monster home runs. Robbie Byrd hit a missile over the scoreboard at McCrary Park and a couple of innings later Neal Pritchard hit one over the centerfield fence that's only 400 feet from the plate.

Hunter Wrenn gets the win for Post 138 and Robbie Byrd gets the save. I don't have my scorebook handy for the rest of the stats, but Ryan Daniel and Jeremy Peed also had big nights at the plate for Post 138.

Post 138 is at Chapel Hill Post 6 tonight at 7:00

LD coaching staff instantly got better when they got rid of me and picked up Stoney. Heck, he led them to the State Tourney in his first year. Can't argue with that. Addition by subtraction I guess. Only good thing is, now I can coach from the stands like everybody else.

    WP- Ryan Jennings 9 inns.

Newell may have locked a 3 seed with the win tonight but we will have to see how the log jam in the Area IV East ends up.
