Yeah I got there in the third. The game went fast, it was a very well played game. K-Town has a very, very good team. This should make for an excellent legion season. I think Marko definitely has it headed in the right direction. Stanly County just couldn't put together those back to back to back hits. Hats off to K-Town. We will have to regroup and see if we can return the favor at your place. Man, I just love good baseball like tonight's game. Good luck and we will see ya in K-Town.

    Newell 4 - Gastonia 3

This 13 inning duel saw Newell give up several opportunities to win the game early on. Evan Taylor started for Newell and went a solid 9 innings and was relieved in the extra innings by Daniel Cooke, who came in a shut-down the Gastonia line-up. In the end with Nate Donovan on second Greg Sanders delivers the game winning it with a liner into the right center gap. With the emergence of Taylor and Cooke on the mound and solid defense behind them Newell looks ready to pounce and put up some more victories after a sluggish start.

I'm still somewhat new to Legion ball, has Wilkes County always been that bad? Did they just start that team or what?
