    S. Rowan 13 Mooresville 9
After a 30 minute rain delay something took place at Mooresville HS baseball stadium. Some said it was baseball, some had other descriptions of what took place. But at 11pm it was all over and SR had scored 13 unanswered runs in the first 4 innings and held off a 9-run Mooresville rally to win the "game."

All kidding aside, the SR team has some really good pitching. The Cooper kid has good stuff. I think they'll do well this season. Mooresville has been looking at alot of kids this week and even started a freshman from N. Iredell on the mound last night. Mooresville is scheduled to head up to Bandys for another game with the Lake Norman River Pirates tonite, weather permitting.

    South Rowan 2
    Mooresville 1

Cody Livengood 5 ip 0 hits 0 runs
Austin Carithers 3 ip 2 hits 0 runs
    Tyler Apple (w) 1 ip 2 hits 1 run

Kind of a slow start for both teams. Both teams were missing a few players due to other committments.

I think that score is from earlier in the week. According to the schedule I have on Hickory, they played Cherryville on the 18th and again Wednesday on the 25th.

I would like to know some scores if anyone knows... Asheville was supposed to play Burke today. I think Rutherford got started today as well.

Thanks man... By my count Rutherford is off to a 2-0 start. Anyone know about the Mountain teams (Asheville/Henderson Co.)?

If anyone is interested, I don't mind keeping the Area IV standings on Caldwell Baseball Online. I have started a place on the site for that and there is info on how to send information. All I have is the Western Division up, but if you Charlotte area guys want the Eastern side I can do that too. Just promise to send win or lose.

Burlington Post 63 beat Roxboro Post 138 4-0 Saturday night. Burlington had 5 hits to Roxboro's 4. Burlington committed 1 error and Roxboro 2. Blake Bowes pitched for Roxboro Post 138 he gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and walked 1 and struck out 5 in 6.2 innings. I can't remember the Burlington starting pitcher, but he and the relievers pitched very well.

    Burlinton Post 63 1-0
    Roxboro Post 138 0-1

Roxboro will host Burlington tonight at Bartlett Yancey High School at 7:00.
