Mooresville gets a well deserved day off today but jumps right back into the fire with games at Rowan Co. on Wednesday, at home vs. Rowan Co. and Lexington on Thursday and Friday. They then head to Kannapolis on Sunday. Mooresville is currently 5-2 in Area III play this season. Git r done boys!

Great win for Kannapolis @ Cherryville. Tough stretch for Post 501 with 5 games in 5 days & 4 of them on the road.

hey V I what was up with ya'lls fan hollarin at that ump the other day.. I wasnt there but understand he was mad about a play where the first baseman came off the bag.. the first base ump was out of position and asked the home ump for help and the play was ruled that the foot was off the bag.. i understand he went into a rage.. now that wasnt you was it ? :imagestor

We deserve that loss... 11 hits and having bases loaded with no outs and runners on third a few times and didnt score... just my :twocents:

btw.. South Stanley has improved 100 % since last year.. new coach and if i'm not mistaken one of their pitchers was a CVAC all conference from belmont abbey i think...

Even our people get his name wrong, so I don't blame you, 337Fan, but Alberto Turvda (pronounced tuh-RUTH-uh) is playing very well for Post 262. Alberto played for Garinger and therefore didn't get noticed much in the high school season, but he has been playing at second and third for Charlotte and hitting very well. He is a real up and comer to watch and is still a high school underclassman. I'm not sure if he'll be a junior or a senior next year. In fact, Charlotte had high school underclassmen at every position except pitcher and catcher last night, so it was a very good game for the young team.

Overall, the game was well played by both teams. Jeremy Mathis (0-1) went seven and pitched well for Charlotte (2-3), suffering a tough luck loss due in part to three unearned runs scored in the fifth or sixth and some bloop hits that fell in for Pineville. It was good to see Jeremy pitch well. Both starter Ryan Jones and Kyle Bartelson pitched well for Pineville, and Post 337 got some key hits at key times to take the series sweep, so hats off to them.
