    The Moors jumped out to a 4-0 lead but the Wojans battled back. Mooresville starter Matt Skidmore pitched well but was lifted with 1 on and nobody out in the bottom of the 8th and Brandon Padgett promptly gave up the go ahead run on a wild pitch and then a 2 run bomb to Jay Hosack. JD Worthington also garnered a 2 run blast for the Wojans earlier in the game. Garrett Sherrill went the distance for Kannapolis and they appear to remain tied for 4th in Area III with Rowan Co. who was leading 12-5 in the 7th at the time of this post. Caleb Diggs goes 2-3 for the Moors with 2 RBI. It will be difficult for the Moors to gain some solace for their 4 game skid as Stanly Co. comes to town on Monday and then a road trip to Mocksville looms on Wednesday.

    Jordan Cudney pitched a complete game three-hitter that ended on the ten-run rule after the top of the seventh. I'll let spectator post all the details; I'm still shakin my head over the ejection of the Charlotte player for wearing a rubber wrist band (see Umpires Gone Wild). Anyway, Charlotte Post 262 moves to 5-3 on the season and Cudney is now 2-0..

    I have found out that Post 82 coach Mike Grayson will serve a 5 game suspension fro what happened in Chapel Hill.

    Post 82 finished up their trip to Chapel Hill as they split a pair of games. Orange County defeated Shelby 16-2. A very lack luster performance by Post 82. They rebounded in their second game by defeating the defending AAU national champs Cubs 6-5. Post 82 went 3-1 over the weekend with wins over the defending state Legion Champs, Garner and the defending AAU champs, Cubs. Post 82 is now 12-6 on the year and travel to Rock Hill today.

    Roxboro Post 138 defeated Halifax Va. Post 8 5-4 on Sunday afternoon. J.D. Coates picked up the win for POst 138. Post 138 is now 6-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Next game is versus Rockingham County Tuesday at Reidsville High School at 7:00.
