    The Moors broke a 4 game skid by knocking off first place Stanly Co. in Mooresville tonight getting 8 innings out of starter Tim Johnson. Johnson struck out 13 and gave up only 7 hits on the night, never mind wriggling off the hook in a bases loaded 8th with two runs already having crossed the plate and Mooresville nursing a slim 9-7 lead. But Caleb Diggs, 3B, 2R, led off the bottom of the 8th by belting a triple down the left field line and the Moors scored 4 runs before anybody was out. Also leading the hit parade for Mooresville was second baseman Tim Sullivan, 3-5, 2-2RHR, Geoffery Ballard 3-5, 2B, 2RBI, 2R and Justin Ogle, 3-5, 2B, 2RBI, 2R. Stanly Co. got home runs from Will Davis and Goosey Kennedy.

    Huntersville over Kings Mountain 9-8 in a thriller. Huntersville led most of the way behind pitcher Eric Shoemaker before giving up a 3-run lead in the top of the 9th with some shoddy defensive play and a few timely hits from KM. Trailing by one going into the bottom of the 9th, H-ville mounts their own rally, including a dropped 3rd strike that reached safely as the catcher threw to 3rd to try to get a runner stealing (runner was safe) instead of getting the out at first. Brad Arthur's single through a drawn-in infield was the only hit of the inning but plated the second and decisive run of the inning. Greg Allen gets the victory for Huntersville. Andy Oliver and David Mcauley were both 2-4 for Huntersville, and Ronnie Wilson was 4-5 for Kings Mountain.

    More info on that Post 82 game vs Rock Hill.

    Josh Izokovic, Josh Drewery, Dusty Quattlebaum, and Bronson Smith all went yard for Shelby with Smith's being a grandslam.

    Post 82 is at Henderson County tonight.

    Caldwell jumped out early and never looked back. Alex Fairweather went 7 innings and only allowed 2 or 3 hits.

    Caldwell is now 10-2 ( 7-0) in the confrence.
