    Roxboro Post 138 defeated Rockingham Co. Post 254 last night 17-2. Elliott Tolley pitched 5 innings to get the win. Blake Bowes pitched the final two innings. A lot of hitting for Post 138 last night, Cody Jones hit his first legion homerun. Roxboro Post 138 is at Clayton tonight at 7:00.

    Post 138 is now 7-4 overall.

    We are really looking forward to the Caldwell County Tournament this weekend. Post 138 opens with Pineville in the 5:00 game on Friday.

    Josh Drewery tossed a complete game and Dusty Quattlebaum had a 3 run homer.

    Shelby is at Hickory tonight.

    The game was awsome plus we had two of our best players at the state games Brad Hardee and Madison Bumgarner.

    Mooresville got good starting pitching from Aubrey Meadows who went 5 innings and kept the Moors in it, tied at 3. Enter Matt Marshall (7K's) who closed the deal by shutting out the powerful Mocksville bats the rest of the way and got some big time run support in the 7th and 8th innings and great defensive play to get out of a jam in the 7th. Matt Skidmore, 2-3, HR, 4RBI, belted a 7th inning grand slam and Mooresville tacked on 4 more runs in the 8th to bury Mocksville. Also getting hits for the Moors were Marshall, 3-5, HR, RBI, 3R and Geoffrey Ballard, 3-3, HR, 3RBI, 3R. Leaders at the plate for Mocksville were Vogler, 3-5, HR, 2R and Poindexter, 2-2, 2RBI.

    Post 262 went out of league tonight, travelling to Lancaster, SC. Matt McNichol homered twice to lead Post 262, who also got multi-hit games from Jack Myers, Alberto Turuda, Jack Magee and maybe one or two others as well. TJ Worrell (2-0) went 6 and got the win, and Jeremy Mathis pitched the last three and earned the save.

    Charlotte is now 6-4, 5-4 in Area 4 games.
