    Beautiful night in Cherryville (that's pronounced chrvl), pretty good baseball for the early season. Tied 2-2 into the 6th, Cherryville broke it open with a 3-run homerun.

    Roxboro Post 138 defeated Burlington Post 63 13-12 Monday night. Roxboro Post 138 is now 1-1. Blaine Newton hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 8th to tie the score at 12. J.D. Coates drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 9th to put Post 138 in the victory column.

    Thanks Braves. It really was a good win. We needed it and one of the best things about it was Hunter Wrenn and Elliott Tolley pitched really well for us in relief. Those two young men were my starters for the Person J.V. team, so to see them pitch well in Senior Legion is a real boost to our program.
