I can be pretty sure that it is not Bullock's decision. Bullock is a great kid and "me-ism" has nothing to do with it. The college coaches are beginning to limit innings of their pitchers in the summer, or asking that they do not pitch at all, as too often the kids report to fall practice with nothing left.

I would imagine Aubrey Edens did not play legion ball this year for the same reason.

Any updates on Pitt vs. Puerto Rico? The gametracker I looked at said 0-0 in the 6th, but this game should be over by now.

That's it exactly. But in most cases, freshman pitchers throw so few pitches in the fall and some rarely see the mound in the spring.

But pitchers are a different breed. Each one is different and what's good for one is not necessarily good for the other. Although I would hate to see a rising freshman get an arm injury the summer before his college experience gets started. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of pitchers down with arm injuries before arriving on campus.

agree 100% with you guys.....if a kid has a injury or is prone to injuries ( maybe) I could understand. When you let your teammates, coaches, township, the state of North Carolina and yourself down is a NO NO...you just don't do it....

    NC 0

    PR 0 in the 6th

Must be froze...anybody know the score

I thought they might have hit a rain delay, but the next game was played. I'm interested to see if Pitt's on a bus headed for NC. Talk about a long ride...

Bringing your "A" game is very tough to do in the American Legion Regionals.

My dad was coaching in the Southeast Regionals several years ago in South Alabama. Seven starters heading to college for the first time were faced with moving away from home and heading off to college. Classes started on a Monday. The Southeast Regional schedule was not to finish until Monday, possibly Tuesday. The players had not moved anything to the college dorms. The thought of moving in, moving away, first college classes and not even sure when they could get back home and then to school was as much on their minds as the Regionals.

I was just told by someone who was told... In other words, this may not be accurate...

But he said Pitt lost 3-1 today. I guess their bus is heading north right now. Long ride home when you drive 400 miles & then lose twice in 18 hours.

sounds like north carolina was represented well by who ever showed up. you guys talking about caldwell choking sounds like pitt co choked before they left north carolina with only part of a team. guess they won the tourney so they can forfit if they want to. I hate to be so negative but this situation is bad.

    Yes....it is!

Is there anyway to shorten the season? like 3 games series vs 7?
