South Carolina P15s

I got a chance to see Sumter South Carolina play in the SC State playoffs against Greenwood SC. they looked very impressive, I even reported back to Post 29 coaches about the SC team and figure at that time we would probably meet them in the regional. Their ace was Allen Caldwell and he pitched the night I seen them play, he gave up only 4 hits going the distance. What I understand he was Sumter's # 2 pitcher in high school this year. Their ace couldn't pitch this summer because of a injury. That's a scary thought. They was also missing their # 3 pitcher because of a similar problem. Look out for Sumter next year, they only lose 2 starters off this team, the 1st baseman Gordon and one of the out fielfers either Tanner or Witherspoon. Sumter has a group of 14 year old that just won the Dixie World Series last week in Texas. Sooo look out for Sumter the next couple of years...
