    After a rain-delayed Mid-South Regional,,, Texarkana,Texas became the 8th and final team to qualify for the Legion World Series, as they beat Enid,Ok 9-3 for the Mid-South championship last night. Texarkana is led by John Stilson, who is a 19th round draft pick of the Twins and has already signed with Texas A&M. He pitched 13+ innings in the 5 day regionals, and also went 9/22 at the plate, which actually dropped his season BA to .571. The Texas team also has another draft pick in Randall Fant (Brewers, 21st rd), and they flew out to North Dakota this morning to make the World Series field complete.

    Get this, found out a couple other things about Stilson, he was the Texas legion player of the year, but in their state tournament, he reached base 23 times in 25 plate appearances...

    This Las Vegas,Nv legion team is making its 3rd World Series appearance in the last 4 years. As noted above, they are the defending national champions.

    Keep in mind, Fargo, ND is in Central timezone (1 hour behind ET), so when the schedule (which comes from national website) calls for an 8pm gametime, it will actually be 9pm in North Carolina.

    Westboy, have fun, keep us posted on how things are going out there.

    Btw final score on Game 1,,, Las Vegas,NV beats Berlin,Conn by an 8-7 score.
