You're right, of course. And the last hit........well what can you say.......if you're a hitter it's "good ole aluminum". If you're a pitcher it's "#$%@ aluminum bat". It was a close game, at the end, it could've gone either way and either team would've been happy with such a hit.
Do you think Rowan would benefit from a rainout this afternoon or does it really matter?

 

Rowan's pitching is still good. Forrest Buchanan is well rested and has been great lately. The bullpen is still good. Alex Litaker did not pitch earlier today, and everyone else in the bullpen should be able to go. Even if need be, Shive and Veal have did not throw a lot of pitches earlier today, so you could possibly see them if needed. I'm sure Buchanan will do a fine job and Rowan will come out fired up and ready to go.

 

Weather delay for Game 5,,,,,,,,, tournament director has stated Games 5-8 will now be only 7 innings in order to get them in.

Brackets on page 1 are updated; however, obviously gametimes are a scrap due to the weather, will post new gametimes as soon as they are issued.

 

2nd Round, Game 1...

Medford,Or defeats Berlin,Conn by a score of 5-0. Berlin,Conn is first team eliminated, while Medford,Or will moves on to play tomorrow.

Rowan County,NC is about to begin their 2nd game of the day (due to yesterday's rains) when they begin an elimination game against Mt.Airy,Md,,, gametime at 9:20pm tonight.

 

Rowan Co. leading Mt.Airy 6-2 after 3 innings,,,,,,,,, live webcast looks great, coming in clear (picture and sound), good announcers too. Some posters have mentioned they were not able to pick it up (guess I've been lucky), check it out if you haven't yet.

 

2nd Round, Game 2...

Rowan County,NC defeats Mt.Airy,Md by a score of 8-3,,,, Mt.Airy becomes 2nd team eliminated, and Rowan County moves on to play tomorrow. Original gametime for Rowan's game on Sunday "would have been" 1pm; however, it could be later as there are still 2 remaining Saturday games to makeup.

Busy day at the ballpark. Rowan County is in line to play 3rd game of the day, against the loser of the first game (Game 7, Las Vegas,Nv vs. Midland,Mi).
