As of 1:40pm ET, first game of the day (LasVegas vs. Midland,Mi) are only in 3rd inning, and this game was supposed to have started this morning at 9am. They have gotten some rain in Fargo the last couple days,,,,,, weatherman still saying 80% chance showers rest of day, but as of now they are playing ball. Better news next 2 days don't look like much chance rain at all. However, as of right now theres no way they'll get in 4 more games today, like they wanted.

Rowan still slated to play the 3rd game today, whatever time that is...

p.s. to Oriole, so let me be clear, YOU are not old enough that you played on that 65 Charlotte team, it was you uncle, right? I was but a young tot in 65, but I do remember hearing about other great local teams from Charlotte as I grew older (maybe early 70's) specifically teams from the Newell area.

p.s.s. I'm sure Braves knew all those 65 players well... :peacemanmw:

negative I was only three at the time but read all the clippings in the ole scrapbook!:ylsuper: No doubt Bravo is familiar with the Garinger crowd of the mid 60's or better yet ask Garry about Uncle Bill :)
    GO SOUTH ROWAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS It was a GREAT HS class from I believe 63,64-68 hands down proabably the best group of baseball players to come out of the city ever, arguably of course!! Again I think four, five maybe six were drafted in a two year span, if I remeber correctly??? Again, I have met Garry he knows as well as Sellers.

Gotcha Oriole,,, and I believe it was the 48 Charlotte team that Braves played with...

Btw, Vegas holding onto an 8-7 lead in last inning, but Midland has bases loaded,,, I believe one of my relatives (TJ White) now pitching for Vegas... :xyxthumbs:

Not so good for Vegas, Midland just had bases clearing triple, now leading 11-8, still batting.

Rowan Co now leading 6-5 going into top of 7th (final inning),,,, Rowan batting.

Westboy, if Rowan advances, your going to have to sit behind homeplate next game and give us a big wave...

Bottom 7th Rowan still leading 6-5, LV batting, Gobbel pitching for Rowan, hits first batter, man on 1b, no out. Pitching change, Preston Troutman comes to pitch for Rowan. Wild pitch, tying run moves to 2b. Next batter singles, runners on 1st and 3rd, no out. Next batter walks, bases loaded, no out. Next batter walks, game tied 6-6, still bases loaded, no out. Pitching change for Rowan, Alex Litaker inherits a mess.

    PO4, 1 out. Same mess.
3-2, 2 out. Still bases loaded, tied 6-6.
F8, Rowan gets out of the inning.

Going to extra innings, tied 6-6. Da-angggg, good job getting out of that... :clapclap:

    LV batting,,,,
-E3, runner on 1b, no out.
    -K, 1 out.
    -PB, runner moves to 2b.
-Single to RF, runners on 1b and 3b, 1 out.
-4-3, 2 outs, runner on 1b moves to 2b, and runner on 3b scores, Rowan still leading 8-7.
    -PO4, 3 outs.

Rowan WINS 8-7 !!! Agree with announcers, Litaker deserves that game ball for getting out of last inning's jam.
