    Andrew Hendel 2013 LHP/OF has verbally committed to play for Coach Moranda at Western Carolina! Andrew will join the Catamounts after his senior year at Cuthbertson High School. Congratulations!!!!!

    Outstanding! Congratulations to Andrew and his family. The Hendel's are baseball royalty in the Charlotte area. This may be the 8th Hendel that have gone on to play college baseball :lmao:...tying the Gehringers for the most kids playing baseball.

    Seriously, this is an amazing accomplishment and I wish Andrew the best at Western Carolina!

    Congrats Andrew!

    Congratulations to Andrew!!... and his parents Rich and Denise - some of the finest people you’ll ever meet.

    Andrew epitomizes what you want in a son, a baseball player, a student athlete and a teammate. He demonstrates a tremendous work ethic and he has a competitive fire that just doesn’t stop. A fine young man. As recognized by Coach Gardiner who played a big role in his development. He can hit, despite his best efforts to focus on pitching. The broken bat single to right and the opposite field double off the fence in the conference championship are evidence of that. Just like the complete game win and the MVP at the Hartsville’s tourney. Congrats to Coach Moranda and Coach Beck for landing a great addition. Keep working hard and I hope you have a great fall and a terrific senior year.

    Congrats!

    Way to go Andrew. Well deserved for this hard hitting LHP. I know you'll do good things up there at WCU. It just shows how hard work pays off in the end. Congrats to the entire Hendel family.
    Have a great senior year at Cuthbertson HS!
