The Morton kid is definitely a college-level pitcher. I understand folks not being turned on by a low-80's fastball, but this kid can pitch,,, and he's a winner too. Last time I checked, most college coaches were still interested in winning. Some college coach should definitely should give Morton a serious look during the next couple weeks since his legion team is doing so well. Oh, and by the way, since he's such a LARGE part of the reason his team is doing well too...

Major tip of the hat to whomever changed the title to this thread.

TJ, my son bats cleanup for Lex & is leading the team in batting average & RBI's. If my son had not played, Lex would still be where they are. If Mort had not played, South Rowan would have made the playoffs. He has been that huge of a factor. We are 11-0 (I think) when he starts. We've won 17 games. Pretty clear, huh??

Well to any "contacts" reading this thread, we're talking about a good-sized kid, lefthander, knows how to pitch, great endurance, has won consistently for his team,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, don't know how recruiters missed him (maybe it was his poor HS team), but some college could really get a steal here...

And btw I'm not from Lexington either, so I have no dogs here,,,,, my team has simply faced Morton the past 2 years.

And UK7Dook3,,,, your son is a great ballplayer.

Thanks TJ...Lexington has several players equal to my son, but we have only ONE Mort. If we lose tonight in game 6, I expect Andrew to take the ball tomorrow evening. 2 days rest normally would be child abuse, but as stated before...this is his World Series.

If there are any college guys out there who are interested, I'd be glad to supply you with any contact numbers you need - Morton's #, Coach Griffin's #, opposing coaches' #'s etc. I know absolutley no one that would not recommend this kid.
