Many of you may not know, but this Board is owned by all of us....you, me and the rest of the posters.

Once or twice a year, we have a fund drive to pay for the bandwidth and to upgrade all the geek stuff...this is how we survive to continue not to be administered and at the mercy of some "suit" who decides what direction this Board must go.

We have seen the inherent problems at Charlotte.com and what not having an administrator or moderators can do to a one time terrific messageboard.

When we no longer had a real place to post for HS prep information, I turned to Larry Davidson and asked if he would allow us to form this forum. He graciously said yes and provided the outline for HS Prep forum that we have now enjoyed.

It is now time that we show our support to Larry and THISBOARDROCKS by contributing any amount of monies you can afford...5, 10, 20, 25 or more...any help is greatly appreciated.

If you enjoy this board, try to help out because we actually are the owners and you will feel that way after you contribute.

For the "first season" this board has done remarkably well, giving us all important information, not to mention comic relief! Come on guys, "pitch in"!

Agreed. The information on recruiting has been outstanding and I have enjoyed learning about players I otherwise would never have know about through the South Charlotte , I mean Charlotte Observer. (That's for you NCBBALL ) I am happy to contribute.

Normally we drum out celebrities during our fund drive, you know, like The Tams, The 4 Tops and The Temptations but we thought with our own celebrities like Prepster, Original, Southloop and others, we would save costs this year.

It might be a good idea to discuss college timelines again...to ensure everybody is where they should be.

 

Are you kidding me!!!! This board is the best thing to happen for HS baseball in North Carolina (especially the western half) in a loooonnnnngggggg time. It's an absolute well spring of information about players, teams, and recruiting, but most of all it's been great fun.
I was talking to a guy yesterday about the State Games tryout tomorrow and all the other available showcases, and he ask me where I got all this imformation. I told him.... "TBR".
So...is it worth a donation...you bet your life it is. Mine's in the mail(and I'm so broke I can't pay attention). So get off your wallet and make a donation, it's important to all of us, but especially the kids.

This is a great forum - heck it got me interested in high school baseball. Of course having a good team to cheer for helps - but I learned more about Ragsdale baseball here than I did in any of the local rags.

Its amazing what got put together here so fast... :xyzthumbs
