It must be on some Island, DodgerBlue. I bet it ain't got no dome:)

If I were a South Meck fan, I would feel insulted

Anyway, before Impact comes on here castigating me again:) I must say that I'm sure that Manteo is # 1..just haven't seen it

As noted on the Impact Baseball Website on 3.31.03 by Andy Partin.

"It was an electric atmosphere at South Mecklenburg High School on Thursday, March 27th and the 4-½ hour drive was well worth my trip. After seeing South Mecklenburg's high school field and complex, the "Top 20 Fields" in North Carolina needs a "re-vote!" The South Meck field was awesome! If you are like me and enjoy being entertained at beautiful ballparks, I highly recommend watching a game at South Mecklenburg High School. The staff and supporters of the Sabres' baseball program should be very proud of their efforts."

I heard that Coach Bagwell was developing a special strain of red grass for next season.

    I'm here. Where are you?
    just half to say

it's hard to rate ballfields by asthetics only playability should be the key...

now south meck's field i will be the first to admit looks absolutely gourgeous, BUT it plays like a pasture, truly i would not lie

granted the playability of the field has improved since the lips were shaved on the infield in the last year, but the infield dirt is rough and uneven and the outfield is rougher than the rebuilt track over there. you can't cover ruts with grass and expect no one to notice

if they were to to topdress both the infield grass and the outfield then truly they would be worthy of all that ya'll give them, but till not the top field

Oh Man Insider....Just when we thought the"Baseball" Booster Club would not have to pull anymore 3rd shifts.....you have to go and write that about the field.....Braves....get the sign up sheet out again.....We'll not only be scooping up the duck poo BUT now we'll be picking up rocks and combing the dirt! Geez ! Are the oompa loompas still in training or will they be able to pull a shift by themselves? I know I've got my priorities all mixed up going to work and all but boy of boy .....I'm so

This reminds me of that famous quote of Billy Crystal on Saturday Night Live:

" I'd rather look good, than feel good, darling "
