Have not heard much, but I think Paul Dover, Mike Smith, Try Ramsey, Craig Burnham are all back.

I think some of the players that were on the 262 team are not specifically thinking about Legion Ball right now. They have been consumed with the playoffs and the potential that that holds. Post 262 will have a very good team (once all of the playoff games and championship games are over with). A lot of the 262 players are on the MP team. These guys on MP team are "eat up" with the idea that they are on the brink of what MAY become a very memorable season for them and their fans. I, of course, am a MP fan (and parent), and wish them the very best in these stressful days and have already gathered plenty of wonderful moments from their season. Should they be fortunate enough to progress further, that would be "icing" on the cake. You know...I'm very proud of each of these guys for showing the strength that can come from "togetherness" and "oneness" that they have shown through the year. It has become even more prevalent in the last few weeks. They seem to have an unusual "brotherhood" going on. The cohesiveness is very apparent. I'm not sure if it will be matched in the coming years. On another note, the MP fans can get a little rowdy at times and the students can get a little annoying (even with the parents). But it is all innocent and purley excitement and shouldn't be misconstrude as being rude. These are exciting times for MP (and all the schools) and more importantly...BASEBALL. Team sports at this level, with the right guidance, can not only reap the joy of victory, but teach these young men the benefits of hard work, self discipline, and an appreciation of "structure". As you "old guys" know, we have to abide by a pretty rigid set of rules "in life". If nothing comes out of these games but a good lesson in life...well...we as parents, coaches and fans have done our jobs.

Boy...did I get off on a tangent! I wish all of the teams the best!! As ALL of the teams get closer to the end of their seasons, try to remember that if you lose in a big game...just be thankful you were able to say you played amongst the best. You did your best and that's what counts. Be cheerful about the times you've had getting there and what the future holds for you. Cherish these days of playin OUR GAME. There's always another season! ;)

No, they didn't, but I believe when the original prediction was made no one thought this game would take place the day after several of the team members returned from an exhausting trip to the State Championship. Give 'em a few good nights sleep and a chance for the team to meld together and you never know!
