2) Slotting system- would set signing bonuses based on where the player was selected

Yes this new system is being discussed as written in the USA Today a few weeks ago. Going to be interesting as they are also talking about only have a couple of rounds in the draft and then everyone else is just a free agent.

could this affect what may happen to you if going to college and not eligible til 2013 draft

 

Both these ideas have been around for a while and every few years, the press brings them back to life, as does MLB.

MLB wants slot money firm, not just suggested. Agents and players union say no. So, you know where thats going...hahaha

Free agent drafting... imagine how hairy THAT could be...

Who knows... I know some potential draft kids are uising this in their decision making process. The real question is "which road will I be better off on 3 years from now".

Unless it's life changing money, you can't lose with an education.
