    Freedom, McDowell, Piedmont, Porter Ridge, Concord , and Nations Ford along with others were at Wingate this weekend. F-Mcd did not play each other, but sure spent a lot of time watching the other. Freedom beat Concord early, then Concord regained its running form and beat them in a 1/2 game. Think Freedom won its others. McDowell was just better than others.
    Nobody around here has size like that. Beat Piedmont and P Ridge by like 10, and mauled Concord by 20. Concord has the most athletic team aorund and could be better than last year. N Ford had great outside shooters. Piedmont's Dayton was probably the most impressive with Ali and Porter Ridge's lesser known Lea Saunders right behind. Concord and McDowell are such good and balanced teams that no one was spectacular.
