    Anyone keeping up with the wild card situation in the 4A West?

    Trying to find out about the wild cards?

    1. Crest 15-6
    2. East Rowan 14-8
    3. East Burke 14-8
    4. Weddington 14-9
    5. South Rowan 13-9
    6. North Forsyth 12-10
    7. North Davidson 13-10
    7. East Gaston 13-10
    7. Hopewell 13-10

    Other teams
    Harding?-?
    East Forsyth 13-11
    West Mecklenburg ?-?
    Independence?-?

    Add another win to the Chargers. I just don't know how much I like this Wild Card deal. The state could figure out a better way of doing it, and I would like to see the state going to seeds. The do it in football, how about basketball.

    Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the Wild Card either. I've heard in the past that the NCHSAA was considering expanding the field from 48 to 64. It would eliminate the byes for those teams who win the conference. I would think as a result the NCHSAA would have to reward them in a different manner. Problem is, it would like increase the number of so called "Wild Cards"

    Start seeding. Then the top seeds play at home until the regionals. I don't understand why the state wants to reward con. winners for basketball. I go back to the fact that no such luxury is given to football.

    Yeah, the current setup is a joke. It's probably set up by the same fools that set up the conferences.
