Some drills or something to help a hitter with dropping there back shoulder when swinging...So they won't hit under the ball and fly-out...

    Thanks

    Shoulder to shoulder....

....drill hitting off a tee as high as possible. My DDs have one taped to a cooler. Collapse of a hitters backside is so COMMON that CORRECTION should be WALKED THROUGH to GET BACK TO BASICS first. What seems to a batter, pitcher, golfer, etc. as a feel in your offense is not always productive. Find a Coach D. who can ease your way back into consistent contact. Meanwhile, hit off a high tee. Cheeze is dead on. Goog luck!

I will agree that the backside collapsing is probably the culprit. I teach rotational and dipping of the rear shoulder is ok in rotational mechanics. Loading weight on backside and keeping it there can be a cause of your problems. Often the reason is because they collapse their rear leg too much. The hitter MUST re-establish the balance point in the stride. If the hitter holds too much weight on the back side after striding, the problem you are experiencing usually surfaces. Make sure she is BALANCED – or has her weight slightly forward when doing the tee drills. If she “tilts” correctly, her weight will naturally re-establish itself on the inside of her rear leg. I know I can't go into a full disclosure on rotational mechanics but hitting from a balanced position is key.

I hope I don't get cruicified from the non-rotational folks. Just my 2 cent for what it's worth.

Douglas has a drill for you that should help you out - remind me at practice and he will show it to you.

Assuming you are doing everything correct prior to contact...
At contact, you must get to a position that will allow you to release the bat with the most force....to do that, your elbow will always be above your hands, and your hands would continue on plane, above the barrel of the bat...

If you are popping up allot, my guess is that you are leading with your back elbow, and which will cause early rotation, forcing your hands off plane, and your bat head to drop...

Look at this shot of Jessica.... Textbook......
She didn't pop up this pitch...

advice right on the money from Windmill! If you want a quick fix just try some tee work concentrating on a "low" finish.. down around your left elbow. This is an overcorrection solution and would not suggest it for the long term but it will stop the problem... from there get competant instruction which concentrates, most importantly I think,on seperation of your upper and lower halves; with a lower half release and the top half staying closed at impact... ie front shoulder still pointing at the pitcher. This will create maximum power while keeping your focus on taking the ball back up the middle which should be the goal... its the way Manny Ramirez and A Rod swing the bat.
