    2012 Season Socon Champions!

    Three very exciting games at Western Carolina with many late lead changes. And while Appalachian State lost the series, they won game two which gave them the Championship. Down 0-4 in the top of the 9th with Western's closer on the mound, the magic began. After some swinging bunts, wild pitches, and a base hit here and there; the score ended at 5-4 and the celebration started.

    App State's win coupled with a College of Charleston loss, put the two teams in a tie at the top of the Socon. App State took the series against COC, giving them the tie breaker.

    Congrats boys!

    It's been a long time for App State to achieve this level of success. They brought the right players in (winners) and it's paying dividends.
