There was a time 6-7 years ago that people would question the talent and competition the private schools, particularly Charlotte Christian, would play.
That was put to rest many years ago when CC would play many public schools in Easter tournaments against some of the best talented teams in the west. Then they would go on their pilgrimmage to Florida each year to compete against the top Florida HS in their state---having won the tournament several times. They play every public school that is willing to schedule them---and each year the number of quality talented public schools scheduling them has increased----Providence, Ardrey Kell, South Meck, Myers Park, Marvin Ridge and Richmond County. Those teams ain't slackers.

They arguably have more recruited D1 players from their program the last 7-8 years than any other program in the state. Daniel Bard, Jared Bard, Luke Bard, Chris Carrera, Reid Fronk, ---it's too long a list--- and this year's team has gathered pro and college scouts at every game. It is not a 5th year senior program---what it is is a baseball and basketball success story that attracts talented athletes with character in a christian environment.

I have no connection with the school, whatsoever. I was also a doubting thomas about their success. But they have proved through the years that their program is legit. I think what has helped them overcome other people's question of talent is the participation of their players playing Showcase baseball---South Charlotte Panthers, On Deck, Diamond Devils--where everybody got to see the playing field level and CC"s kids continued to display their talents successfully against many of the best players in the country.

These kids are good!!!! and their program is outstanding. I would rank them #1 based on beating AK with Alex Wood pitching-----2-0

 

Agree, that was my observation...the talent they bring in is head and shoulders superior to any hs team I have seen this year.
