    That is why you see some of these top pitchers getting hit hard in the third and fourth rounds of the playoffs as they tried to come back on short rest.

    If the rest of the AK staff is good enough to get them through, then Wood is ready to start game 1 of the championship series. They were in the same position last year with Darnell pitching the sectionals and not at all in the regionals.

    I understand some games are being granted by the NCHSAA in moving game 3 to Monday if necessary. I agree with you SCS.

    The ironic thing is the NCHSAA will not allow schools to play 4 games in a week...I guess when it comes to "their' games the reasoning behind the rule goes out the window.

    Well, it's not going to happen in baseball, but some softball games have gotten backed up so far that they potentially would have to play 3 games on Saturday.
