    1-0 win over Sanderson.

Score one run in the first and that was all that was needed.

Butler pitched all 7 for the win.

Congrats AK and all my friends over there. Way to bring the gold to the West and the SW4A

The Knights overcame a lot of obstacles this season and in the playoffs. Only 2 home games in route to the title.

Coach Bagwell has done an amazing job this year and all these boys have something they will cherish the rest of their lives.

It was exciting to watch this team all season

    Enjoy the victory Knights

    Any info on this series

Does anyone have details on these two games? I also would like to say what fine young men Charles Wolf and Max Gagon are. My son has played with and against both of them. These kids as well as their families are super people. It is always a pleasure to see these familys at the park. There is a reason these two young men are such good kids, you need not to look any further than their parents. They always pull hard for other kids.
GOOD LUCK CHARLES AND MAX YOU AND YOUR FAMILYS ARE ALL CLASS!

    AK TITLE!

What an incredible team effort. Lover and Butler stepped up in a huge way as starting pitchers, and Baker and Forst came up huge out of the pen. The offense was truley up and down the lineup. Reinheimer made play after play at SS, while Patterson behind the plate, and Case at First made the players around them better. Bartalomeo led off more games with hits, while Stetson, Pasut, and Wood anchored the middle of the order.

Contragts to Wood, Pasut, Stetson, Case, Patterson, and Ham leaving as seniors on a winning streak.

Congrats to Kell. I enjoyed watching them last year in the 4A finals and seeing Wood, Pasuit and Stetson (and others) for the first time. I look forward to following them in college, Wood at UGA (go Vols....sorry, Tennessee grad here), Stetson at ASU (go Daniel Boone Inn) and Pasuit down here to Greenville to play some football (go Pirates).

    Outstanding!

Congratulations AK! Its great to see a West team and especially a Charlotte team win the championship. Way to represent for the SW4A which is the toughest conference in NC and no doubt prepared AK for anything they faced in the playoffs. Stetson, Wood, Pasut, Case, Ham and Patterson were great leaders for this team.

    Happy for Bagwell

Not many coaches have done what he's done and he finally got what was coming to him, a 4A state title!! Hal coached his butt off all year, having to improvise much more than other years. Dealing with alot of drama and injury prior to these last two games but he remained calm throughout the playoffs and especially prior to game 1 and 2. The team followed his lead and never panicked as evidence Friday night. Wolfe and Gagnon pitched very well, Gagnon is a stud no doubt and Wolfe is a gifted hitter which AK had trouble keeping off the base path's. However it was a total defensive effort yesterday that kept Sanderson shaking their heads inning after inning wondering what do we have to do to scrore! In the end Butler was able to settled down after the first two innings and pitch a masterpiece with the help of his team mates. I am happy for Hal and his wife Lisa and the rest of of his family who have been so supportive year after year. I wish Alex the best of luck with his future as a baseball player, he'll have a lot to overcome but he's young enough to come back even stronger. Good luck to the rest of the seniors and good luck to AK next year as they reload and hope to defend their title.
