    Wilson and Nash County got rained out AGAIN last night. They are scheduled to finish tonight.

    does anyone know the Benson coach (Parker)? I think I played HS ball with that guy in the late 70's.

    Kerr Lake has forfeited the game vs. Cary on 7/13, so Cary is the #1 seed after all... Cary vs. Apex starting either Sunday or Monday... Apparently there are some conflicts with field scheduling that need to be worked out...

    1st game of the Durham/Benson series is tonight, 7/16, at the old Durham Athletic Park- 7pm.
    2nd game is at South Johnston @7pm on Tuesday.

    Both games this year between Durham and Benson have been 7 inning- 10 run affairs. Most recently (7/8) was a 19-3 game where Durham hit 5 HRs. I guess Durham's biggest concern is not having a letdown in a 2 of 3 series. From what I understand, Benson is down to 11 players b/c several of them quit as the season has progressed.
    Durham should roll through this series, BUT- that's why they play the games.
