    Garner took care of visiting North Raleigh last night, 8-1.

    As some of you know, Garner stunk it up in the regular season finishing 6-14 and very un-Post 232-like. But Coach Barbour does a great job with his kids and has them ready for the playoffs each season.

    Yes, they are automatically in the State Tournament... but the guys want to "belong" there and don't want to fall short of earning it on their own.

    Garner visits North Raleigh tonight for Game 2 at 7pm, Millbrook HS.

    Clayton won last night, 12-0. Game 2 tonight @ Kerr Lake.


    By the way... Here in Cary the weather is starting to worry me. Sky is getting very dark. Looks like a storm is comin... Good luck tonight.

    game at SJ

    In game 2, Durham defeats Benson 16-3 in 7 innings to sweep the series & move on.

    Durham hit several HR's against weak Benson pitching.

    Cary vs. Apex Game 2

    Cary was up 3-0 in the 4th when the rains came... Game 2 will be played tomorrow (Wednesday) at Cary HS at 7PM.... Game will be replayed, starting over....

    Garner was ahead 5-0 after 2 1/3 earlier this evening when the game was called because of weather. After the game, Garner POST 232 was then notified that North Raleigh had conceded the series. Post 232 is waiting on a Cary/Apex winner.

    Clayton/ Kerr Lake- Did they get their game in last night? Otherwise, Clayton is up 1-0.

    Wayne leads series, 1-0.
    -Edenton @ Pitt County #39 (Pitt Comm. College)
    Edenton leads series, 1-0.
    -Wilson @ Pitt County #160 (South View HS)
    Wilson leads series, 1-0.


    WEST
    -Clayton @ Kerr Lake
    Clayton leads series, 1-0.
    -Cary @ Apex
    Cary leads series, 1-0. Game #2 will be played @ Cary HS due to field issues.

    Area I wednesday scores

    The scores are in and the West is set for Round 2. Cary gets by Apex 5-4 to face Garner. Because of field availability games 1-3 will be held in Garner and games 2-4-5 will be in Cary.

    Clayton moves on 18-0 to host Durham Friday night. The whole schedule is not yet set. I believe game 2 may also be in Clayton.

    Wayne County moves to the second roundwith a 13-1 victory but they are not sure who they play since Pitt 39 beat Edenton 8-1.

    Not to be outdone for the darling of Greenville, Pitt 160 got past Wilson 6-5. Baseball tomorrow at Edenton and WIlson.
