Charlotte seemed to play a lot better last night against Pineville after a good night's rest on Monday night and all day Tuesday. Pineville had several opportunities but just could not capitalize with their runners on base, and it also did not hurt that Charlotte threw one of their top pitchers as well unlike the night before.

Best of 7 series tied 1-1. Game 3 at South Meck tonight (7/16) @ 7:00 pm.

Pineville leads the Region 4 Legion 7 game series 2-1. Thursday night's game at Myers Park and Friday night's game at Butler.

Someone from Charlotte's team give us an update on Rob Wilson when you hear something. He took a big shot to the nose tonight, and I want to make sure he's all right.

Last I heard, Rob broke his nose and was going to the doctor to get it looked at

    Someone from Charlotte's team

hard ground ball to third, 2 hop then kicked up to the face / nose area. he was staggered but never went down. looked very serious. 2nd-hand reports attributable to Mrs Wilson confirm the nose took the brunt of the hit. could have been much worse. he's a tough, great kid and we hope he gets back on the diamond soon.

I saw Rob as he was leaving. The ball hit the bridge of his nose, leaving a small cut and abrasion. His mom felt like it was probably broken, so they went to get some x-rays and stiches maybe. I have a call in to the Wilson's, when I hear I will update.

Just off the phone with dad, no stitches. The abrasion removed too much skin around the cut, so they were afraid to try and put in stitches. Nose is broken, going to see ENT Friday.

Losing Rob could be a huge loss to this Charlotte team, watching them unfold all season they have finally come together it seems, reminds me of the Myers Park team earlier this year. Although the umpire last night behind the plate seemed a little favored towards the Pineville side, it just seems the umpires around here are getting worse as time goes on.
