I am so sorry to hear about Rob Wilson....what a tough break!!!

Gonzo---keep us updated on how he is doing!!!

...and the comment about the umpires showing favortism...well, these guys don't make a lot of money, so I always give them a little "tip" before each game to help them out if I can :D

He was was inconsistent, consistently, for both teams. Both offensive squads struggled figuring out where the strike zone was. However, the disputable calls (mostly wide but sometimes in) favored the pitchers all night.

Caldwell leads Cherryville 3-1 in their best of seven series after winning tonight (Thursday) 12-7. Caldwell took an early lead and Cherryville would crawl back to within 1-2 runs and Caldwell would score again.

Last night (Wednesday) Caldwell won in Cherryville 6-3 in 11 innings. Don' t know what people have heard about that game, but it was wild to say the least. Caldwell had a 3-1 lead for a LONG time off ONE HIT. Caldwell made a fielding error (the newspaper called it a hit but thats not near the truth) and Cherryville pushed it to extra frames.

    So heres the reset...

Caldwell up 3-1. Caldwell could start game one starter, Russell Reid, but Caldwell has not started the same pitcher yet this series. And to be frankly honest, I am not sure they have used the same pitcher twice at all.

Cherryville is down 3-1. The one game they won, Chris Mason was dominate. But he also threw ALOT in the Hickory Series and threw 100 or so pitches in game two. Game one starter, Justice started tonight and was not effective at all.

I think Tyler White will be fine, but I'm not sure if he'll play tonight. Rob is going to find out today if his nose is broken, but it doesn't look good for him.

Rob Wilson will be having surgery on his nose next week, but will play and pitch tonight vs. Charles Vartainian at Butler at 7.

I heard Cherryville won 12-0 tonight so the series is now 3-2 Caldwell and Pineville won 7-1 tonight.
