That is correct. I would assume Watts will be on the hill for Cherryville since he hasn't pitched in either of the first 2 games. I hate I'll miss it but I will definitely be at Game 4 tomorrow night in Pineville.

To the poster asking where Cherrvyille plays, the field is at the corner of Hwy 150 and Pink Street. You can't miss it.

Dont know if they throw Jake tonight on three days rest or not. Question is how good is there next pitcher? And can either team match the hitting they both have pulled off in the first two games?

LOL...I would like to be there to see this match-up, The atmosphere in Cherryville really gets the blood pumping. Thanks for the invite Sumo but I've got a early flight back to Kansas. Hope you have a exciting series...right down to the last out. By the way...I've been schooled enough this season.

    Congratulations

Congratulations to Cherryville. I had predicted Pineville would represent Area IV this year, and they came very close. Great job by BDR to get his guys back to the dance.

I recommend once again that if AL is going to have a "Host Team" for the state tournament, and the "Host Team" has not earned their berth by finishing 1st or 2nd in their area, then let them be the #9 team and use a 9 team bracket (There are brackets out there for any number of teams...) It is ashame that the 2nd place team from the "Host Area" be penalized because their area is hosting the tournament. This happens every year to a #2 team somewhere. However if the "Host Team" finished 1st or 2nd in their area, then you have an 8 team bracket.

I have no dog in the fight, just a passion for the game and doing what is right!

Cherryville wins the series and is the AREA 4 champs. What a performance by the Post 100 pitcher Cory Parks. Parks has not pitched but a few innings this year for the team due to an arm injury. Last night he was called on after starter Phill Russ got in trouble in the first. Parks got out of the jam with just one more run scored against him in that inning and was able to limit the Pineville bats to just two more runs through the next 7 and 2/3rds. The Post 100 bats were silent early on after loading the bases in the first and not scoring and was unable to break thru until Cory Martin hit a two run shot to get Post 100 on the board. This seemed to wake up the rest of the lineup and the game started to change. A great run by Pineville comes up a little short but they are a very tallented team.

I know, I know Carolina man you are just bustin at tha seems to say congrats...

    You know the motto............:189:
    Off to the State Tournament

Congrats to Cherryville players and coaches....you guys did a great job!!! This is a very good team with a lot of fight in them.....

Too bad we can't be there to get another shot at you in the State Tournament.....Since we can't be there I hope you win the whole damn thing.....you've got the horses to do it.

It was a pleasure to be able to compete against you guys.....good luck in the tournament. :clapclap:

congrats to cherryville and i hope you guys win it all. you deserve it. i doubt you will have much comp out of caldwell in the future seems the dedication your players show is lacking here. you dont win at this level of comp without all eligible players involved. again i hope you win it all.
