I'd love to dbacks, but I'm up in Hickory dusting off a few bucks to donate to L-R...then I'm being hoodwinked into buying a truck for Braves Jr.

I hope you guys understand why I keep begging for food. I'm thinking about parking myself on a street corner with a sign saying "will go to games for food". Raisin' kids will break ya, I tell ya

PS- Oh, dbacks...please tell Ryan I need to hit him up for a loan :D

if you would be so kind as to hook up Idiot Jr. with some of that LR money for the fall semester, it would be greatly appreciated by yours truly.

Good...I had to work and stopped by the park after the game.A kid told me 13-3 in 7 innings, but 14-4 works for me.I know Randolph's pitching got used up in the Stanly series.I believe Kannapolis faced their 3rd or 4th best pitcher tonight.

Great start for the Wojans.Looking forward to going to Asheboro tomorrow night.

Props to Blake Ketner (8-0) who pitched the complete game (7 innings),,,, and Jerod Faggart who hit his 15th homerun of the summer, Jay Hosack added his 4th and Garrett Sherrill hit his 2nd. Team total homeruns now at 62 and counting...

Kannapolis(29-7) at Randolph County(27-12) tomorrow for game 2.

    Keep swingin guys...

    Kannapolis Game

Kannapolis was clicking on all cylinders tonite with their ace on the mound and taking advantage of Randolph County's out of sic pitching rotation. They will need another strong showing tomorrow nite as RC will only get stronger as their better pitchers become rested. The best is yet to come in this series.

    Kannapolis/Asheboro postponed tonight

Kannapolis was at Asheboro tonight for Game 2 of this series and immediately before lineups were about to be called,,,, a monster storm came and must have laid down 3-4 inches of water in 30 minutes. The entire playing surface was under water when I left, and due to a scheduling conflict with the wooden bat Copperheads team there in Asheboro, this game can't be played tomorrow.

Consequently, Game 2 in our series is now delayed until Saturday July 22 back in Asheboro,,,, with Kannapolis still leading the series 1-0.

This undoubtedly will help Asheboro get their pitching fresh again, but for us after Sherrill it also gets us closer to bringing back Ketner if we need him,,, so I'm not sure who really gains an advantage with this 2 day delay.

Guess the big question is when is the deadline the series must be over, and is it possible this HUGE series determining Area 3's only state tourney representative will be reduced to a best of 3?
