If this series between Kannapolis and Randolph goes 5 games then the last game won't be til tuesday, and that's if there is no more rain or more games cancelled because of the Copperheads team. With the winner of this series scheduled to play friday afternoon in the state tournament....look for the Area III winners pitching to be spent going into the state games.

I really can't believe that these teams are not playing somewhere friday night. There has to be some open fields to play on somewhere in Randolph county. If not then game two should have been played in Kannapolis on friday night.Just give Randolph county the entire gate.

Once again if this series goes the limit the the Area III winner is now in trouble heading into the state tournament.

    Poor Logistical Planning

In regards to this delay with Kannapolis and Randolph, I just don't understand how this is allowed to happen. There is no excuse, weather permitting, that Randolph County should not be forced to play this game on Friday. Surely there are fields available to accomodate this game......unless our friends in Randolph County need to rest up for a couple of days. I understand that they were not willing to entertain any suggested compromise which would allow the series to proceed on Friday. This is an issue for the commisioner to handle and handle it fast!

I can't fault Randolph for refusing to surrender their homefield advantage for game 2. They certainly didn't have control over last night's storm or the Copperheads. Moving to a high school would be a horrible idea considering K boys power.

This is just one of those things that works to their advantage. Stuff happens.

I agree with UK7Dook3 guys,,,,,, stuff happens sometimes, and the home team clearly has the option to do what Randolph is doing. Nevertheless to me Randolph seems more concerned about losing a good gate moreso than winning this series, because if I was trailing in a series, I would want to get back on the field asap.

Randolph is simply trying to give their pitching a rest. Problem for them, is that our pitching is resting too, we have a fresh Garrett and we could now bring Blake back for Game 4 if necessary on Monday.... :satana:

Why not just play the game at like 3 or 4???...I know that the fans work and the coaches work but play at 4 and then the Copperheads play at 7...everyone is happy and no one's pitching gets 2 nights of rest....jmo

The dumbest thing in this is that Area 3 is only getting one team for the state tournament. The powers to be should not allow a team that has only 2 wins & players that dont want to play be in the tournament. Both Kannapolis & Randolph should be going. Not only that but the teams that get to play High Point in the first 2 rounds are going to have a HUGE advantage over the other 2 teams.

It seems that Legion rules are getting to be like Nascar rules,,,they are written in pencil with an eraser at the end. JMHO

Eagles,,,, we could've played the game today at 3pm, but Randolph didn't want to do that because they "SAID" that they didn't think they would make enough money at the gate :77321_bs: . Thats what I mean, to me it seems they are more concerned about the gate than winning the series. Because this series can't last forever, and prolonging it 2 days right now is a big gamble with rained forecasted even more this weekend.

Actually in years past, I have seen series shortened to whoever won game 1.

Randolph is rolling the dice on the weather in an effort to rest their pitching.

It ALWAYS comes down to $$$$$$

So its all about the money? If that is the case, the players should decide if they should be playing for an organization that is more concerned about $$$$$ than the completion of the playoffs.

do it right,,,,,,,, I don't think I said its all about the money,,, in fact I think I called BS on their reasoning too. They simply want to get their pitching rested, everyone knows that.

if this does happen, and the forecast is for more storms all weekend, then the advantage clearly swings in favor of the Wojans who are already up 1-0 in this series.
