My understanding is that Durham Post 7 gets a first-round bye and awaits the winner of the Garner-North Raleigh series.

 

Yes Post 7 is playing the waiting game but not sure who they are playing, so you are probably right with Garner/N.Raleigh winner.

 

Yes, we get the lowest remaining seed. I anticipate Clayton if all higher seeds win.

Wilson 4, New Bern 3

Wilson scored 3 in the top of the 9th, New Bern got one back in the bottom of the inning, and Post 13 held on to take a 2-0 series lead. Game 3 is Thursday at Fike High School in Wilson.

The starters were lights-out for both teams. Bentley Massey gave up six hits in going the distance for Wilson, while Gabe Brown threw more than 160 pitches and gave up eight hits for New Bern.

Kinston Post 43 clubbed 6 HRs to outslug Ahoskie on Wednesday at Hertford County High School. Kaleb Wessell picked up the pitching win, while Shane Flynn notched the save. Kinston goes for the series sweep Thursday at Kinston High School.
