No Two Are The Same!

 

This is not to prolong this discussion, but IMO this is kind of a by-product of Riverside HS, where all the fans are squeezed together right behind home plate, so everyone is calling balls and strikes, and it causes the Ump to be "more conservative" as everyone has a good view of the plate.

Cary scores two in the bottom of the ninth to win. 6-5. Tonights game at Clayton HS not SSS.

N. Raleigh strands the tying run on third in the top of the ninth as Durham prevails 7-6. Tonights game is at Millbrook HS.

Wilson holds off ninth inning rally by Kinston who leaves the bases loaded in ninth 7-6. Tonights game is at Flemming Stadium not Fike HS.

Rocky Mt rolls 25 - 6 in 7 innings and traves to Edonton tonight.

Game played at the beautiful Clayton HS - nice field !!!

Cary being up a game played loose while Clayton played a little tight. The Cary hard hits found holes while the Clayton hard hits went right to somebody.

Cary starter James Todd pitched his best game of the summer - 7 scoreless innings. Cary played long ball with solo homers from Percy Evans (2), Eric Brady, Hunter Carr, Dylan Kipp, and a 2-run HR from Wyatt Medlin (who also had a HR robbed by a great catch over the wall by the Clayton centerfielder). Clayton hit a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 9th for the final score of 8-2.

Cary leads seris 2-0, next game tomorrow at Cary HS.

Durham takes a 2-0 series lead behind a CG from Ari Seelinger with 7Ks and 1BB.

Game 3 at Riverside tomorrow at 7pm.

 

Wilson 9, Kinston 4

Bentley Massey (5-1) threw seven strong innings, and Zac Crumpler's HR keyed a 3-run 7th inning as Wilson took at 2-0 series lead over the South Division champs. With its 8th consecutive win, Post 13 climbed to 13-8 on the season and travels to Kinston High School on Wednesday for game 3. Kinston is now 15-5.

Another game where Raleigh had the tying run on third base in the last inning and can't punch him in.

Durham pitcher Ari Seelinger CG -- what a great pitching performance. He has owned us two straight games. He was locating all night and our hard hit balls were going to players in the field just waiting to make a play for an out. Where he is going to college as surely he can play at the next level?

Good luck to Raleigh tonight as we return to the field where routine pop flies become home runs. Hopefully we can hit more pop flies than Durham!
