    Any reason why they have only thrown 12 innings? Have they been shut down? Beach trips? Will these innings ever increase?

    Grant Sasser has had "bullpen" with the Wolfpack a couple of Mondays, making him unavailable in our early bizarre schedule. He's starting Monday against Pitt 160. Garrett Davis is in relief on Friday in the first-place showdown at New Bern. If we're ahead after five, he's taking over.

    Sasser's line: 6.1...4...1...0...1...3
    Davis.........: 6.1...1...0...0...1..13

    Wednesday: WC 6, Snow Hill 1. Brandon Price, the winner in the state 3-A title game, went the distance on 108 pitches and had a three-pitch inning.

    Garner (struggling this year) has played well recently and won their last two (Kernersville and Benson).

    Host Apex on Monday night, then travel to Florence, SC to finish out their regular season schedule next weekend.
