    I saw that Garner is down to 12 players on that team.

    Heavy Rain last night at Apex and Goldsboro.
    Double headers are set for today at both sites.

    Series' cut short

    With more rain and no dates available to play out the series, The Area I East and West playoffs were shortened to a best 2 of three giving Apex 124 and Pitt 39 bids to the State Championship in Lenoir next week. I realize this upsets some teams but nothing can be done. The Area 1 championship will be played Thursday night in Apex.
